Beat the shock! Beat beat the shock!

Yes... that is my cheerleader side coming through which is amazing because I detest cheerleading but I am super excited because we have beat our electricity! Yeah! It has been a two month long battle between us and it, but this time, I'm pretty sure we have mastered our problems. This month has been particularly interesting with our electricity going out on the 5th and having serious issues with it ever since. It got to the point where we didn't dare use our stove or microwave so we were eating sandwiches, waffles, and cereal every meal. We were getting tired of not having any hot meals and the fact that despite numerous complaints, our landlord wasn't doing too much to fix the problem so we threatened to move out if he didn't have it fixed by the end of the month. Then last Saturday as I was cleaning, every time I touched the stove or dryer, I got shocked so call our landlord we did. He told us to unhook the wires on the back of our stove that were connecting our stove to our dryer and then to the breaker (so not safe by the way). So we turned off the breaker and unhooked the wires. Standard procedure right? Wrong! Because when we went to turn the breaker back on we heard a loud pop and sizzle and everything was out. So we quickly loaded up the contents of our refrigerator and went to stay with his parents for a few days while it got fixed. In a way this was a good thing because for one reason or another our landlord realized how serious the situation was and had an electrician in there on Monday. By Wednesday morning, everything was safe and in working condition and we were able to move back in last night. So take that mister electricity! Trying to kick us out of our cute little conveniently located cozy apartment! Well guess what? We are here to stay! At least for another two years that is...
